Artist Statement:

A radiant neon-green skull glows in extreme close-up — vibrant, electric, almost alive. This is Skull Candy, my love letter to the most beautiful part of being human.

Your mind is a beautiful gift, and it is held safely inside your skull. Most people see a skull and instantly think “scary,” “dark,” or “demonic.” I wanted to change that forever. I painted this glowing, reactive neon-green skull so it feels like candy for the eyes — sweet, inviting, and impossible to look away from.

Instead of fear, I invite you to see protection, strength, and wonder. The skull is not a symbol of death; it is the unbreakable fortress that cradles your thoughts, dreams, creativity, and everything that makes you, who you are.

This piece was born the moment I decided to flip the script on judgment. I refuse to let fear or old stereotypes win. Through my practice of art as therapy, I create work that heals the viewer the same way it healed me.
